Exploring Bryan Johnson's Recipes

Bryan Johnson is on a quest to defy aging, adopting a regimen that includes taking 100 pills a day and wrapping up his meals by 11 AM 🕚. My husband, H, was curious about Johnson's diet, especially the nutty pudding.

I prefer to focus on the food rather than the person behind it, so let's dive into my experience with his recipes 🍴. This past week, I tested three of his recipes, initially aiming for four. However, since I did not enjoy the recipes, I skipped the fourth 🚫.

Here are my thoughts:

  1. The first-time recipe guide lacked serving sizes — some recipes seemed tailored for one, others for two🤔. It was also missing some steps and ingredients that were mentioned in the instructions.

  2. The recipes lacked any salt, with an overload of spices used to compensate. Despite my love for sweet potatoes 🍠, the excessive spices were overpowering. And a whole tablespoon of curry in the curry recipe felt excessive. I believe these dishes could be made tastier while still remaining healthy.

  3. The nutty pudding, a mix of nuts, might have been more enjoyable eaten separately 🥄.

  4. The cost of ingredients was quite high. Although it's reported that he spends $44.91 on food daily, I believe it's much higher. The grocery bill was steep 💸.

  5. On the bright side, this experiment has reminded me to include more veggies in my diet. I'm excited to incorporate foods like cabbage steaks into my meals. While not everything was to my taste, there's always a silver lining in trying something new, and I'm all for adding more greens to my plate! 🌿
